Emily Leayman, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from The Pennsylvania State University in 1998 and completed her Master’s degree in Social Work at Marywood University in 2001. Since then, Emily has dedicated her career to helping people build resilience, find balance, and feel supported through life’s challenges.
Emily’s professional background spans community mental health, autism services, and private practice. She has served in roles ranging from direct clinical care to leadership as a clinical director, where she oversaw services for hundreds of families, developed new programs, and guided teams of professionals. In her private practice, Emily provides outpatient counseling and diagnostic evaluations for children, teens, and adults. She takes a flexible, strength-based approach, drawing on evidence-based practices while tailoring treatment to the needs and goals of each client.
Her areas of focus include anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, life transitions, and neurodevelopmental concerns. Emily is especially passionate about supporting individuals and families impacted by neurodiversity. She works to create an encouraging and collaborative space where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped with tools to thrive.
